Building Leadership Skills at LIU Conference

On Oct. 30, Bridgehampton School’s virtual enterprise class attended a leadership conference at LIU. Cayenne Echavarria, Steven Lucero, Italo Tenecela, Elver Cruz-Reyes and Leo McDonald listened to the keynote speaker, then attended breakout sessions separated by the following department level groupings:  IT, HR, CEO, Marketing and Accounting.  They were broken into subgroups and given two scenarios to work on: “Analyze a Winning Firm” and “Fix the Firm.” Students strengthened their leadership, collaboration and problem-solving skills while gaining valuable insight into real-world business operations.
