Grade 4 Science

Our fourth grade students recently dove into the world of energy and motion through a series of hands-on marble stations. Using interactive models, students experimented with how direction, speed and collisions affect movement, carefully recording their observations as they worked.
By engaging directly with these concepts, our students weren’t just learning about force and motion, they were experiencing it in real time. This type of activity encourages critical thinking, problem-solving and collaboration as students test predictions, adjust variables and discuss results with their peers. It also supports different learning styles by combining visual, tactile and kinesthetic elements, making abstract ideas much easier to grasp.
By turning complex concepts into active exploration, students develop a deeper understanding of the scientific process while fostering curiosity and a love of learning that extends beyond the classroom.
