World Language Honor Society Inducts New Members for 2025

Bridgehampton School proudly honored its world language students by inducting new members into its honor society. Being selected for the World Language Honor Society requires maintaining a 90% or above average in French or Spanish for the past three years. In addition, students must have an 85% or above average for the current school year, with no failures in any subject. They must also exhibit dedication, character and service that sets them apart from their peers.
The ceremony was conducted by the president of the World Language Honor Society, Avery McCleland, French co-vice presidents Aiyanna Spears and Sarah Kapon and Spanish co-vice president Evelyn Handley.
Principal Michael Cox and Superintendent Mary T. Kelly spoke to students, faculty and families about the value of global citizenship, encouraging students to use their language skills to build bridges across cultures. They shared praise for our students’ academic dedication and highlighted the importance of multilingualism in today’s interconnected world. Both speakers commended the inductees for their hard work, curiosity and commitment to excellence in world language studies.
